Third Party Software may or can cause complications with OwnerRez. Below is the software that we've documented to interfere with OR. More will be added as we come across them.
Antivirus software
HP Wolf Security
OwnerRez Competitors
Smartbnb, now known as Hospitable
Problem: User accepted the reservation, received an error message that popped up. When they went into the messaging was advised that the reservation was denied. Airbnb claimed that it was a 3rd party software glitch that caused this issue. Airbnb had those dates blocked off and they said that user would have to delete it off of OwnerRez for it to work, however the dates were not blocked on OR.
- The reservation was requested at 7am and the calendar was open. A bit after that, the Smartbnb blocked Vrbo which was imported into OwnerRez and blocked the OR calendar.
- A couple hours later the user accepted the reservation request on Airbnb and they tried to actually make the reservation, OwnerRez returned that the time was unavailable... because it was.
CH states: It's a "feature" -- they're blocking off *Vrbo* for an **Airbnb** reservation request so somebody on Vrbo doesn't block some or all of that time. Just so happens that that "feature" is feeding through Vrbo into OwnerRez and then circling back into Airbnb and causing problems.
Solution: CH suggested possible fixes, from best to worst:
- Switch to Vrbo API. This is the best way to ward off double bookings between channels.
- Turn off Smartbnb blocking Vrbo from Airbnb.
- Switch the iCal imports to import bookings only. This should work assuming she never adds a block to Vrbo, only to OR, and Smartbnb records blocks as blocks (which it looks like it currently is doing -- the "Blocked" prefix)

Problem: Branded Portal Page direction. I'm using Wix to support our web page and | want to create a Branded Portal Page. Has anyone using Wix been successful in creating a Subdomain through their Wix page that works properly? | could not find any direction available. Thanks!
Solution: Update- | got it!!! The CNAME for the subdomain on Wix must be changed under the primary domains DNS settings! Definitely not intuitive and in need of a new support article as every support article they've got and even their our support was unable to figure out why they could not create a CNAME for the subdomain. The certificate is currently installing and | get to check this box today! Thanks for your help guys.
- From the ZD ticket: In wix they make you change the cname in under the primary domain. Every tutorial they have and picture shows different but eventually I found the section to edit the subdomain cname behind the primary domain tab.
