👀 First Look: Meet Snippets

We’re excited to give you an early look at Snippets, a new way to quickly insert reusable text into your messages.
Snippets let you save frequently used bits of text and insert them into a message simply by typing / followed by the shortcode you’ve assigned. They’re perfect for information you send regularly, like pool hours, Wi-Fi instructions, check-in details, parking information, or answers to common guest questions.
With Snippets, you’ll be able to:
- Create reusable text with your own custom shortcodes
- Insert Snippets directly into messages using / and the shortcode
- Share Snippets with your team or keep them for your own use
- Use field codes to automatically personalize Snippets
- Import your existing Templates and turn them into Snippets
- Manage all of your Snippets from the new Settings > Messaging > Snippets area
We’ve also added new Stay field codes that work across inquiries, quotes, and bookings, giving you even more flexibility when creating Snippets.
If you already use Templates for short, reusable responses, you can easily import them into Snippets. The Templates button in the Inbox will remain available for now, but will be removed at a future date, so we recommend starting to use Snippets for this type of messaging going forward.
Snippets are scheduled for release on Wednesday, August 19th. Once released, you’ll see the new Snippets button directly in the Inbox message composer.
