OwnerRez Snippets are short, reusable, pre-written blocks of content like templates that you insert instantly in the Inbox using the forward slash / keyboard character, saving time and preventing you from typing the same words over and over. Snippets can use field codes, be shared with your team or kept private, and can be imported from Templates in the Inbox or the Snippets grid.
Inbox
In the Inbox, hosts can import Snippets from existing Templates by clicking the Snippets icon, then clicking the gear icon in the upper-right corner.
On the Snippets pop-up, click on the upper-right Snippets Settings link that takes you to the Snippets grid.
Complete the import process in the Snippets grid.
Snippets Grid
In the Snippets Grid (Settings > Messaging > Snippets), click on the right-side Import dropdown list and select From Templates.
On the Import Snippets from Message Templates page, hosts can choose which templates to bring in as snippets. All are selected by default, and you can unselect templates that you don't want to import as snippets. Each snippet becomes a reusable shortcode you can drop into any message.
Hosts can search by name, subject, or body text; limit results by template type (e.g., All, Email, SMS, Channel); or show their imported templates by clicking the Show imported templates checkbox. Any shortcodes that contain the same text as another template or have other issues will display an informative red text message under the currently assigned Shortcode.
After you've selected the Templates you want imported to Snippets, you can decide how to handle any existing shortcodes (e.g., Skip it (default), Overwrite it, or Stop the Import) and click on Import Selected.Snippets imported from templates are displayed in the Snippet Grid and automatically enabled for use in the Inbox and shared with your Team, but you can edit snippets to remove access from your team.
