Action needed: Correct an Owner Overpayment on Your Next Statement
Body
Hi [first name]!
We're contacting you because we've identified one or more bookings in your OwnerRez account where an owner may have been overpaid due to an issue with how Stripe refunds were processed on owner statements.
What happened?
Beginning July 29, 2026, certain guest refunds processed through Stripe were not correctly accounted for on owner statements configured to require payments to be deposited. As a result, some owners received more than they should have.
What we've fixed
We've corrected the issue, and OwnerRez will automatically calculate the necessary adjustments on your next owner statement.
Action needed: Review your next owner statement
1. Review your affected bookings, which are listed at the bottom of this email.
2. Preview your next owner statement under PM > Statements & Payouts > Owner Statements.
3. If an affected booking has a $0 balance, go to Options and check Include zero-charge bookings (e.g., canceled or owner-stay) as long as they meet the other criteria.
4. Review the statement before finalizing it to confirm the appropriate adjustments are included. You can exclude unrelated $0 bookings, such as owner stays.
Why this matters: If an affected booking has a $0 balance and the option above isn't enabled, the booking may be excluded from the statement, preventing the overpayment adjustment from appearing.
We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage you to review these corrections before issuing your next owner payouts.
If you have any questions or would like assistance reviewing your statement, please contact our Help Desk.
