Action Recommended: Review Your Property Amenities
Body
Hey [first name]!
We’re reaching out because one or more of your properties currently has certain sports or recreation amenities selected in OwnerRez, and an update releasing tomorrow may affect how those amenities are displayed on connected booking channels like Airbnb.
Previously, some amenities (such as a bowling alley, climbing wall, hockey rink, laser tag, mini golf, or skate ramp) could be interpreted by booking channels as being on-site, even if they were actually located nearby. This could create confusion for guests.
Starting tomorrow, you’ll be able to specify whether these amenities are On-Site or Off-Site.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Edit any affected amenity and you’ll see a new Proximity setting.
- Choose On-Site if the amenity is located at the property.
- Choose Off-Site if it’s nearby but not part of the property.
- Existing amenities will default to Off-Site after the update. If an amenity is actually on-site, you’ll need to update it so it continues syncing to booking channels appropriately.
For example, if there’s a public gym a few blocks away, you can mark it as Off-Site so guests understand it’s nearby rather than included with the property. If your property has its own private gym, simply change it to On-Site.
