Action needed: Remove phone numbers from Airbnb listings to resume updates

Airbnb has started rejecting listing updates from OwnerRez when the listing includes a phone number in certain guest-facing fields. The error reads “Error updating amenities,” but your amenities aren’t the cause. Until the phone number is removed, changes to your listing content won’t be reflected on Airbnb. Availability and rates still sync.
Airbnb has confirmed that phone numbers are no longer allowed in check-in instructions. The same rule applies to the description, directions, house manual, and Wi-Fi details.
What you need to do:
- In OwnerRez, open the property and go to Listing Content, then Guest Instructions.
- Remove any phone numbers from Check-in Instructions and save.
- Check the description, directions, house manual, and Wi-Fi details, and remove any phone numbers there too.
Guests can still reach you through Airbnb messaging, so you don’t need a phone number in the listing. Once the numbers are removed, your updates should go through. If changes still aren’t showing up on Airbnb or you have additional questions, please contact help@ownerrez.com.
