Our rates, surcharges, discounts, and taxes are all rules-based concepts that apply to a property in OwnerRez. They will be synced out to listings on your channels based on the criteria you configure. A discount (including length of stay, early bird, last minute, etc.) is a rule configured for certain properties, channels, and other criteria. You can have multiple configurations that apply to different properties or channels. A lot of customization is possible, but most people will use many of these common scenarios. This article covers discounts.

Scenarios:
Military discount, Repeat guest discount
There aren't any automated criteria for these, but you can add a manual surcharge to apply to a quote after it has been generated.
To do this, create a discount and select Specific bookings under criteria, but don't add any booking criteria. That way, the discount will be available for you to add, but the criteria will exclude it from being automatically added to quotes.
You could also make an optional add-on discount that the guest can select at checkout, and then require proof of ID after booking. If they can't provide it, remove the add-on so they are charged full price.
Listing Site Conditions
Discounts and surcharges can be limited to specific listing channels, including your hosted website, by including Listing Site Conditions in your discount.
When configuring your discount or surcharge, select the + Add Condition button > Applicability > Listing Site.
If you want to limit your discount or surcharge to your hosted website only, select One Of > My Listing Sites > your Hosted Website.
If you want your discount or surcharge available on every listing site BUT your hosted website, select Anything But > your Hosted Website.
